Ornithology and wildlife around East Lancashire, Pendle hill and the Forest of Bowland, by Neil Mitchell

No dotterel on Pendle hill.

I was at the summit by 8.30. Walked up the steep stone path, over the stile towards scout cairn, back again and over the trig point and down the quarry path. 1.5 hours on top..... no dotterel!
A few golden plover over at the tarn, before the stile to scout cairn.

Here's a (digi-binned) shot of a goldie with Downham in the background.

wasnt sure of public access to black moss res, so didnt bother trying for the smew today.
