Ornithology and wildlife around East Lancashire, Pendle hill and the Forest of Bowland, by Neil Mitchell

Friday 2 February 2007

Geez its February already! What a beautiful day though. I was just about to go up to stocks reservoir when Jills dad needed some chainsaw oil delivering to Preston. So I took the bins and scope and stopped off at Brockholes quarry on the way. Brockholes was a working quarry until the end of '06 but now its been bought by the Lancashire wildlife trust. Heres a link showing LWT plans and a great ariel photo of the site.
